Media blackout

On saturday the 10th of April, a group of Church leaders from across the country were to hold a meeting/rally at the 64 stadium in Eldoret town.  The meeting had been rescheduled from 24th April because the same Venue was to host a very senior member of coaliation government who was due to visit that area then.

It was therefore a rude shock when the Church leaders were informed in the morning of 10th April that they can not use the Stadium then because incidentally the senior politician was to hold his 'YES' campaign there.

Finding it unfair the Church leaders were adamant that they must use the facility having booked it earlier than the said politician.  This resulted into a commotion which caused riot police to come and threated the Church leader and being abassadors of peace, they relocated reluctantly to Kipchoge Keino Stadium.

Considering that the Media was there it was expected that this would form some of the news for the day but this was not going to be the case.  This brings me to my questions.

Has there been hatched a media blacklist for those who are opposed to the draft constitution?

If this happens to be the case then let who ever is giving this orders know that this people they are trying to stop are unstopable because they have the confidence of majority with them.  Moreover they do not even need the media to reach them and therefore this blacklist will be an act in futility.

This is a call for all christians and the citizen of good will to rise and join hand in this noble task.  I want to challange you to wake up to this call.  But should you feel that you are opposed to this view, it is ok with me because I know that my God is able to fight it out for us and He will surely do.

  1. May be that is the case. The fact that the Government is supporting this draft complicate everything and for that reason those opposed to it will have to contend with the fact that there can not be fair playing field.

But the church should not be discouraged because at the end of the day the common man will have spoken. If they choose either Yes or No it will be their choice and whatever happens thereafte will be acceptable to them as a product of their choice.

My wish would have been not to choose between wrongs and rights, Christianity and Islam and Christ and Ant Christ.
